RUNNING BACKS

Man it feels good to be right when everyone is wrong.   People laughed at me when I put Chris Johnson on my do not draft list.  Who’s laughing now?  I originally stated that CJ2K would return to get his legs under him and return to form around week 6-7.  That remains to be seen but I think he'll increase his productivity back to top back status.  Questions is, is it too late for some fantasy owners who took him number 1?

That being said, I had Arian Foster on my “Let Everyone Else Waste First Round Pick” list.   And I said that before his injury mind you.  I said this before the season started because with Vonta Leach leaving for Baltimore, I figured his production would fall. He has proven me wrong since coming back but I stand by Foster falling from the top 3 running backs despite what everyone says.  Yes, he is still the feature back but Ben Tate has earned the right to see 30 percent of the touches.   My preseason top 3 backs were as follows: LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, and Ray Rice.  Speaking of the Ravens and Leach, Rice has been disappointing.  He just doesn’t have that playmaking ability the way McCoy or AP has.

I told you Mendenhall wasn’t going to be productive.  I didn’t ever expect that the Steelers would become go along with the rest of the league and suddenly become pass happy but I never believed in Mendenhall as a special back.

Fred Jackson will slow down.  You guys heard it here first.

DeMarco Murray is for real.  Stick him in your top 6 or 7 right now. Don’t buy the crap about Felix Jones coming back and taking back his starting job.  Jones will be relegated to backup and third down situations.

It takes a man to admit he’s wrong as well.  I really thought James Starks would emerge as a top ten back.  His ass is still pretty much platooning with Ryan Grant and the Packers inability to run the ball with any consistency will haunt them at some point this season.

Where the hell did Forte come from???  He was good and productive before but man…`nuff said.  His only problem is he can’t find the endzone.  Expect that to change.  He only has 2 TD’s through week 9.  He’ll get to at least 10 by the end of the season.

That’s it for now…next time I’ll look back at receivers and the trades that I made that you should have made.
